Long in planning, massive in scale and, essential for the future of Houston, the North East Water Purification Plant Expansion Project (NEWPP) is about to get underway with construction to begin by the end of 2017. That was the message conveyed to residents of Northeast Houston and Harris County in an informational open house Wednesday, November 15 at Woodcreek Middle School.
