Northeast Water Purification Plant Expansion Project Construction Update
The utility work is about to begin along the pipeline corridor. The workers will be installing an underground duct bank with electrical and process utilities that are necessary for operation of the intake pump station.
Currently the work that will be taking place is the initial excavation for the utilities.
These utilities are much smaller than the two 108” pipes, so smaller equipment will be used and the contractor should be able to move along the corridor at a better pace than the previous work.
If you live near the pipeline corridor which runs behind Cambridge Eagle Drive you may be hearing construction related noises due to these activities.
This is one of the last steps to finishing the pipeline installation.
